Why You Can’t Miss The Second OpenADR++ Users Conference

The 2nd OpenADR User Conference Europe is fast approaching and you don’t want to miss it! The event, which takes place on Nov. 19-20 in London, is an opportunity to gain deep industry insight and get a first-hand look at how the OpenADR standard is impacting the industry.

In the UK and Europe, we have seen an increased number of standard specification downloads as the OpenADR Alliance is strengthening ties with other standards bodies and government/policy organizations. This includes the UK’s Department of Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ), which has written OpenADR into two BSI standards, EEBUS in Germany which has defined interoperability with OpenADR for smart buildings, and Smart Energy Europe (smartEn), which lobbies for energy flexibility as part of the transition to clean energy. This year’s event is set to have an impressive line-up of speakers and topics, which will encourage interactive sessions including:

Keynote speakers:

Duncan Stone, Deputy Director for Smart and Secure Electricity Systems (SSES), UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The title of his presentation: UK Government Policy on Demand Side Flexibility

Damitha Adikaari, Director for Science & Innovation for Climate and Energy (SICE), UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

Presentations to highlight:

  • Latest developments on UK DESNZ's IDSR Program and the next steps for its future.
  • Hear more about OpenADR 3.0 and its implementation, as well as plans for using it in several programs across Europe.

We look forward to a number of insightful updates and lively conversations around critical industry topics, such as: Reports from beyond the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand; and an update from member @Pacific Gas and Electric Company on the progress of dynamic pricing in the U.S.

In addition, there will be a session with Energy Networks Association (ENA) discussing standardized solutions for integrating flexibility, which will lead into several sessions on electric vehicle to grid integration (V2G).

By attending, members and prospective members alike can gain firsthand knowledge of the OpenADR Alliance, learn how the standard is evolving the landscape and have some fun networking with leading industry professionals helping to drive the future of the energy market.

Be sure to register and come prepared to share your knowledge and insights to encourage OpenADR adoption across the globe. You won’t want to miss this! To register visit: https://www.openadr.org/2nd-users-conference-agenda.
